Frequently Asked Questions

How long will it take?

Typically anywhere from 3 to 5 hours per dog. If you have 2 to 3 it's going to be an all day affair. There are a lot of deciding factors that go into a time estimate. As I get to know your pup more I will be able to give a more accurate pick up time. Small dogs can take equally as long as large dogs because they are so delicate and fragile. Some other time effectors are if your pup is anxious, wiggly, scared, young, old, arthritic, rescued,  aggressive and previous negative grooming experiences.

I am here to cater to as many behavioral types as possible as I understand the grooming process can be scary.  Also, their mental, physical and emotional breaks take up a good portion of their time here. These are necessary for an overall enjoyed experience. Long, full body haircuts with extensive hand scissoring take the longest followed by bath touch-ups, then bath and brush outs. As stated, I do not rush. Rushing causing any underlying or unknown issues to come out full force.

Do I need to wear a mask?

I have been vaccinated and boosted and do not wear a mask. However, if it would make you feel more comfortable I am more than happy to wear one. Please just let me know!

Can I stay and watch while they are being worked on?

I do not allow people to stay in the shop while their dog(s) are being worked on. Typically what happens is your pup is so concerned with what you're doing that it's hard for them to concentrate, be still and safe on the table. Your dogs safety is of upmost importance.  I spend at least 10-15 minutes after you leave trying to make you pup feel as comfortable as possible. Especially if this is his/her first few times with me.
